Edge of Arabia opened the first exhibition of contemporary Saudi Arabian art in Berlin on 9th June 2010 during the 6th Berlin Biennale at The Vinyl Factory Gallery, Torstraße 1.  Marking the first major stop of Edge of Arabia’s ambitious world tour and featuring the work of a new generation of cutting edge Saudi artists whose work, combined installation, performance, photography, video and sculpture, addresses issues that are as much personal or domestic as they are geopolitical or global, providing a unique and unpredictable perspective on contemporary culture in the Middle East.

The exhibition, curated by leading Emirati Curator Rami Farook, Ahmed Mater presented for the first time, his iconic Evolution of Man Lightboxes that were the most extensively covered by German press as well as presenting his Antenna for the first time.
