Boundary is in the form of the mihrab, the niche in the wall of a mosque or madrassa that indicates qibla, the direction of prayer. This central but routine part of Muslim practice is echoed in the routine targeting of certain nationalities post-9/11; here the mihrab has mutated into an airport security scanner.
