The artwork is the newest addition to the ‘Magnetism’ series, which began with the original ‘Magnetism’ installation conceived for the 2009 Venice Biennale, and later showcased at the British Museum. The newly created Magnetism Book exemplifies a commitment to visualising the spiritual forces that uphold human faith.

When my grandfathers spoke to me as a child about their experience of Hajj they told me of the physical attraction they felt towards the Kaaba, that they felt drawn to it by an almost magnetic pull.
